Provides instruction for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) educational offerings, and participates in program planning, implementation, and evaluation. Participates in related projects.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.2. At least two years of EMS experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
3. Successful completion of an approved EMS instructor course and teaching internship, or equivalent.
4. Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation.
5. Knowledge of the delivery of emergency medical services in the State of New Jersey; adult learning theory and methodologies; EMS educational program accreditation processes and standards; State of New Jersey Office of EMS rules and regulations.
6. Demonstrated teaching and educational facilitation skills.
7. Knowledge of competency-based education principles and methods. Licenses and Certifications Required: 1. New Jersey EMT Instructor.
