Job Overview: Soliant Education is hiring a dedicated School Counselor for a full-time, onsite position in the Lakeside, VA area. This role is available for the 2024-2025 school year and will focus on an elementary caseload. We are looking for a skilled professional to provide comprehensive counseling services to young students, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling services to elementary students.
• Develop and implement strategies to address students' academic, emotional, and social needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students well-being and success.
• Conduct assessments and create intervention plans for students facing challenges.
• Lead classroom guidance lessons and workshops on various topics such as social skills, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation.
• Maintain detailed records of counseling sessions and student progress.

Qualifications:

• Valid School Counselor Certification in Virginia.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred.
• Strong skills in counseling, communication, and crisis intervention.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff.
• A commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
