As a Business Systems Analyst, you play a critical role in supporting our IFS ERP application and related business systems. This person will work closely with the accounting/finance department to understand business processes and challenges, implement improvements, and perform general maintenance and configuration. You are responsible for reporting, end user support, requirements gathering for innovative solutions, and other duties as assigned. With your strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and passion for technology, you will help drive innovation and efficiency throughout our organization. Responsibilities:
Serve as a liaison between the business and technical teams for projects, reporting, and change requests related to the functional teams you support. Support the development and delivery of training materials and user guides to ensure end-user proficiency. Embrace a culture of continuous improvement, seeking out opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge. Work closely with end-users of the ERP application to provide technical support and troubleshooting. Responsible for promptly addressing system issues, investigating root causes, and ensuring smooth operations by resolving technical challenges. Collaborate with solution providers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Support auxiliary accounting 3rd party applications and interfaces such as A/P Invoicing, Expense reporting, Banking reconciliation & A/R lockbox payments. Maintain technical documentation for custom solutions and process flows. Understand the importance and knowledge to set up and maintain system data usage for robust reporting ensuring accuracy and desired analytics. Design, develop, and maintain financial reports for the accounting department and Business units. Provision, modify, and terminate system users in accordance with our defined policies. Ensure appropriate segregation of duties and user access controls are in place for the various user roles. Participate in business system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities. Assist with the design, development, testing, and implementation of new business systems and applications. Participate in change management activities, ensuring smooth transitions to new systems and processes.Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. A Business Administration degree with strong Computer Information systems experience is also acceptable. Project Management Skills and Experience. Strong accounting systems (ERP) knowledge and understanding of issues relevant to finance or accounting modules including AR, AP, GL, and Fixed Assets. Cost and inventory accounting knowledge is helpful. 5+ years’ experience in a systems analyst (or similar) role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. ERP systems (SAP, IFS, NetSuite, Oracle, MS Dynamics, Epicor, Sage, etc.) experience is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with SQL, Power BI, and other reporting tools. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
