Qualifications ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Reconcile and process invoices and vouchers for payment. Work with vendors and district employees on order and pricing discrepancies. Reconcile and process credit card statements. Prepare generated checks and remittance advice for mailing. Review timesheets for discrepancies and work with employees to resolve questions. Balance employees’ deductions and benefits for each payroll. Reconcile deduction vendor reports. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Process journal entries. Familiarize new employees with District benefits. Process additions, changes, and deletions to deductions, benefits and employee data as needed. Process miscellaneous payroll quarterly. Assemble new employee benefit packets. Complete authorized employee verification requests. Assist with other Business Office functions and the Payroll Manager as needed. Assist with the annual and occasional audits. Perform secretarial and/or other duties as assigned or requested. Direct telephone calls and correspondence. Receptionist duties as assigned. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS Accurate Efficient Confidential Able to work within set deadlines Must be personable and work effectively with peers (Financial Services/District staff), other departments, vendors, and public. EDUCATIONRequired: Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.Desired: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. WORK EXPERIENCERequired: Work experience and familiarity with computerized financial systems. Computer experience in spreadsheets, word processing and database.Desired: Experience with bookkeeping and business office procedures, including accounts payables, bank reconciliation, payroll and benefits.
