Every one of our physicians has completed extensive education and clinical training as well as specialized training in their area(s) of expertise. frequently attend conferences and society meetings to learn about the latest advancements in the field and offer these techniques and technologies to our patients. Job Details
Surgical Assistance:
- Assist surgeons in the operating room during a variety of surgical procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for surgery, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Handle surgical instruments and equipment with precision and efficiency.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly to requests.
Pre-Operative Care:- Conduct thorough patient assessments prior to surgery, including reviewing medical histories and conducting physical examinations.
- Educate patients on pre-operative instructions and answer any questions they may have.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to develop comprehensive pre-operative care plans.
Post-Operative Care:- Monitor patients closely in the post-operative period, assessing vital signs and overall recovery.
- Manage post-operative pain and administer medications as prescribed.
- Provide patient education on post-operative care and follow-up instructions.
Documentation and Communication:- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including surgical notes and post-operative progress.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons, to optimize patient outcomes.
Requirements:
PA - Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program, minimum Bachelor’s degree requiredExperience
Minimum of two years’ experience as an APP in a physician practice or OR preferred
Certification:
Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner certification (AANP or ANCC certification) BLS/ACLS/AED training required and accepted from only 2 organizations: American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program No online programs from any organization will be accepted. DEA registration required for those with discharge responsibilities.Salary Range
USD - USD /Hr.
