Overview

Perform an entry level engineering role in the design or construction aspects of engineering projects and assists other departmental engineers.

Responsibilities

1. Perform design activities requiring a basic understanding of drawings, calculations, specifications, and industry standards and practices covering the assigned work.2. Shall have a basic knowledge of the theory, practices, and procedures pertaining to engineering matters in one or more of the following areas:3. Civil Engineering4. Electrical Engineering5. Mechanical Engineering6. Communications Systems7. Computer Engineering8. Automation Systems9. Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions.10. Develop professional work knowledge and abilities in one or more of the following areas:11. Civil Engineering12. Distribution Engineering13. Substation Design14. Substation Automation15. Power Systems Analysis16. Communications Systems17. Electrical Control Systems18. Protective Relaying19. Transmission Systems20. Develop knowledge of the Company’s design, construction, QA/QC, and safety standards and the Company document control system.21. Responsible for complete and accurate record keeping and quality of all work performed.22. May be required to travel to support work.23. Other duties as required.
Qualifications

Shall have a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited engineering program or an Associate Degree in Engineering with the appropriate experience at a Designer level.
