Substation Designer

We have an exciting opportunity for a physical substation designer.

Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for creating design drawings in 2D or 3D for Transmission and Distribution electrical Substations and supporting the design criteria and standardization efforts.
The Designer will produce engineering drawings using AutoCAD, Autodesk 3D Inventor or Autodesk Map 3D (P4A), produce specifications and material requirements for substation projects with emphasis on safety, quality, scheduling, and costs.

Required 5 plus years of related industry experience Understanding of electoral substation experience with experience in transmission and/ or Distribution substation operations for electric power utility firms Able to create substation physical drawing for single line or three line diagram and the ability to manipulate 2D and 3D models for substations. Pay: $26-$33/hr.
Location:  Birmingham, AL
Duration: 3 years+
