The Department of Biochemistry & Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville invites applications for a non-tenure track, full-time, 9-month position of Lecturer. The primary responsibilities of this position are to teach core undergraduate classes for majors and non-majors: BCMB 230 a large introductory course and laboratory on human physiology (Spring and Fall). The position will supervise GTAs assigned to the course. Summer teaching is an option for additional pay. Minimal qualifications: 1) a . in the area of Human Physiology with significant graduate coursework in these disciplines; 2) teaching experience in biology; and 3) a demonstrated interest in teaching and in implementing evidence-based best education practices for student success.

Preferred qualifications include the above, plus: 1) experience teaching large introductory lecture courses with laboratory; 2) experience with the development of a laboratory course; and 3) experience supervising and mentoring graduate teaching assistants.
