Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Staff Structural Engineer to be based in Orange, California.

This position is available to start immediately.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Assist with simple calculations and productions of drawing and documents under the supervision of more senior staff.
  • Utilization of analysis software.
  • Training will be available, but some beginning knowledge of ETABS, RAM, RISA and/or ENERCALC would be beneficial.
  • Candidates will gain experience assisting more experienced staff with engineering design and drafting.
  • Engineering position responsible for assisting more experienced staff with the design of major building projects across the United States (projects to have construction costs of up to $750M).

 


Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
  • As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EIT Certificate Master of Science (with structural engineering concentration)
  • Experience applying all major structural design codes.
  • Experience using 3-D structural analysis software. (examples include ETABS, SAP, RISA, RAM, and SAFE)
  • Experience with REVIT/AutoCAD
