Manufacturing Accountant Qualifications

• 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Master's in Finance or Accounting (required)
• Proficient with accounting software (Sage X3 preferred)
• Southern hospitality mindset and great leadership style
• Works well in a family-owned a business with a diverse workforce and female leadership
• Strong tenures - no job hoppers
• An effective communicator, quick learner, and highly motivated team player who can partner with the teams in decision-making, creating working solutions, and streamlining processes

Manufacturing Accountant Responsibilities:

• General ledger support, budget, forecast, period-end reporting, capital expenditure requests, and capital project tracking
• Ensure accounts are reconciled and any outstanding variances are researched and resolved
• Assist in managing costs and propose recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate with the Corporate Controller in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Support Sage 3X accounting platform for newly modernized warehouse & factory
• Support strategic initiatives for corporate growth
• Consolidation of operating expenses and headcount for support areas
• Interact with the leadership team
• Prepare Ad-Hoc reports and schedules as requested
