Overview:

SageSure, the insurance first, tech-forward, capital-lite managing general underwriter that focuses on the underserved, preferred homeowners middle-market, is seeking a Underwriter.

SageSure is seeking a dynamic Underwriter who is analytically minded, hands-on and a self-starter that understands homeowner’s coverage and risk. This individual will make risk decisions based on a thorough analysis of exposures using various underwriting tools. The daily activities including the handling of risk referrals, reports (property inspections/loss reports) phone calls and non-renewals.

What you’d be doing:

Review new and renewal business from our referral systemApprove or deny requests to bindReview property inspection reports and take appropriate underwriting actionHandle and manage phone calls from agents and referrals from support vendorsCommunicate with IT to resolve agency system related issuesComplete ad-hoc projects as assigned

We’re looking for someone who has:

3-5 years’ prior homeowners’ insurance experienceExceptional verbal and written communicatorCustomer service orientatedThrives in a fast-paced, changing environmentComfortable with working under minimal supervisionPossess a strong work ethic and can work individually or as part of a teamA minimum of 3 years property underwriting experienceA college degree or equivalent experience and educationExperience working directly with customers, insurance producers, and agentsExperience working with insurance software and MS Office Suite

Highly preferred candidates also have:

Bachelor's degree in related fieldProperty/Casualty Insurance Agent license
