The APS Team in Pubtech helps publishers of all sizes increase monetization and yield. APS provides exclusive access to Amazon marketing spend and extends our cloud-based platform technology to enable publishers to maximize revenue opportunity across devices and media channels while improving user experience. The end result is an Amazon product that lets publishers focus on what they do best: publishing.

The APS Strategic Pubs Engineering team is focussed on building product suites that integrate differentiated large publishers and walled gardens to Amazon Demand and find ways to drive incremental value for Publishers and Amazon Demand. This is an opportunity to create a new business from scratch and help shape the future of Amazon advertising with an entire segment of new select Publishers.

We’re looking for an engineer who gets excited by the idea of creating new products, features, and services from scratch while managing ambiguity and the pace of our organization whose ship cycles are measured in weeks, not years. If this is you, come make the internet better with us.

Key job responsibilities
* Passion for innovation and delivery of high quality products.
* Understanding of asynchronous programming, multi-threading, and design patterns.
* Experience working with complex high performance, low latency systems implemented in Java.
* Ad-Tech and oRTB understanding is a plus but not needed.

A day in the life
* Work with Product and Business teams to drive requirements with Publishers.
* Implement and drive features that span code across multiple teams in the Ad Tech Org.
* Work with PE's across org's to design features for long term and short term feasibility based on business requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
