SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: Join our dynamic team as an Epic Hospital Billing/Professional Billing Analyst, where you'll be leveraging technology to support advancement of our revenue cycle functions in Epic. As a key member of our team, you will support access to tools in Epic to address regulatory compliancy, support operational efficiency and effectiveness, improve patient experience, and increase provider and clinical staff satisfaction, while maximizing revenue capture. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for collaborating with revenue cycle operations to configure, integrate, and implement informatic solutions to improve the patient and family experience, and optimize revenue outcomes.


REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

What You'll Do:

As an Analyst I - EMR on the Epic Billing team, you will bring your revenue cycle background, collaboration, coordination, and technical capabilities to the table. You'll work collaboratively with guidance and supervision, taking on a range of assignments related to production support, system updates, and maintenance. You'll have the opportunity to engage in projects driving the administration of Epic Billing tools, technical support, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Support: Troubleshoot and resolve errors, identify necessary resources for issue resolution, and implement resolutions. Ensure exceptional end-user support by monitoring Service Level Agreements for incident management. Project Management: Coordinate project plans, scope, and complexity for small to mid-sized projects while working in a hybrid remote and onsite capacity. Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders, ensuring project milestones are met. Maintain Technical Tools: Ensure the integrity and optimal functionality of technical tools. Partner with direct and peripheral teams to address technical issues, implement updates, and optimize system tools. This includes configuring Epic Billing tools to align with the specific needs of our revenue cycle initiatives. Support End Users: Act as a primary point of contact for end users utilizing Epic Billing tools. Provide training, utilize advanced problem-solving to troubleshoot issues, and offer ongoing support to ensure seamless adoption and utilization of technology. Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including revenue cycle operations, clinicians, and Information Services professionals, to understand requirements, address challenges, resolve issues and support end users. Build and maintain positive relationships both internally and externally. Work with various teams to ensure customer-centric incident management and support. Document: Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, workflows, and end user support tools. Education: Stay updated with industry solutions and technologies through cross-training, attending meetings, and vendor education.

Direct experience within the revenue cycle environment, understanding the unique workflows and challenges. Proficiency in working with Epic Information Systems, including implementation and maintenance. Understanding of regulatory requirements as they relate to revenue cycle operations. Ability to analyze revenue cycle data trends to improve processes and outcomes. Experience collaborating with revenue cycle operations leadership to align informatics solutions with operational needs. Ability to effectively navigate a complex healthcare environment.
