Seeking Flow Coordinator Registered Nurse

Baptist Health Floyd, Emergency Department

Full-Time (40 Hours/Week), Flexible Hours

Job Duties:

In this role, the RN Flow Coordinator will be responsible and accountable for assisting patients through the ER process in an efficient and safe manner, from arrival to disposition. Performs leadership duties and clinical staffing as needed to support department operations.

About the Unit:

The Emergency Department (ED) has 41 beds divided between two pods with 37 private rooms. A split-flow area is located near main triage and provides care to lower acuity patients. Split flow varies from 5-8 patients and is run by 1-2 nurses and a mid-level provider. This fast-paced ED treats an average of 160+ patients per day. ED staff encounter a wide variety of patients including acute cardiovascular and neurovascular emergencies, general medical emergencies, traumatic injuries and psychiatric patients. The ED is recognized by the American Heart Association as both a STEMI receiving center and a designated Primary Stroke Center. 

Qualifications:

Graduate of approved nursing program.

Current Indiana or compact state RN license.

Three years relevant patient care experience required.

BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.

NIH Stroke Scale Certification required.
