Position Overview

Far Ridgeline Engagements LLC (A QinetiQ US Company) is seeking an experienced Computer Scientist (Software Design & Analysis) to join our team supporting our Government Client in Reston, VA.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple technical tasks in software design, implementation, and integration projects
• Analyze customer needs and design, develop, and install software systems to meet those needs
• Recommend software upgrades to existing systems and/or present newly available options which may better meet the customer’s needs
• Develop repeatable processes
• Clearly communicate through verbal and written means with team members and customer
• Expand existing software to meet changing needs
• Identify, research, and present new solutions to old problems as technology and opportunity arise
• Develop a new software product from the ground up, while working closely with stakeholders
• Create fault-tolerant programming and a thorough QC process
• Write tests for both existing and newly created code to ensure compatibility and stability

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or information technology
• 4+ years of software development or programming experience
• Full stack development – Golang, Python, C++, JavaScript, Java, and other programming languages
• In-depth understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and CMSs
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Linux and cloud infrastructure experience
• Networking experience
• Experience performing data analysis (modeling, visualization, processing) and high-performance computing
• Systems engineering experience
• Research and development experience
• Technical writing experience and ability to clearly convey complex information
• Current TS/SCI Clearance with CI poly, or ability to obtain poly prior to start date #qinetiqclearedjob
• Successful Completion of Pre-Employment Background Investigation required

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialization in firmware and graphical user design
