WHAT WE NEED

To provide a variety of massage techniques that promote relaxation and rejuvenation of the body and mind. This is a joint venture with SJ Medical Fitness, LLC. & Franciscan Health.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

  • Ability to perform all duties required for a safe and effective massage for each client.

  • Understand the facility and hours of operation.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of all departments, their staff, and services.

  • Promote all spa promotions and activities.

  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all departments.

  • Communicate with front desk regarding scheduling.

  • Call in the evenings before and the morning of your scheduled day.

  • Make sure you are always up to date with any appointment book changes.

  • Promptness for massage therapy appointments is required.

  • Always maintain a professional attitude.

  • Wear departmental uniform and name tag, always present a neat, well-groomed appearance.

  • Confirm client has completed massage wavier and information form.

  • Take detailed notes on client's needs, etc. and initial.

  • Knowledge of appropriate massage techniques for individual clients based upon clients' needs and health assessment.

  • Leave room ready for next massage therapist

  • Stock clean sheets, remake bed

  • Bring used laundry to laundry area

  • Sanitize table, bolsters, counters, sink, door handles, all equipment used.

  • Communicate to Spa Manager the need for supplies or assistance.

  • Part-time or full-time positions available

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Up to date Massage Therapist Certification from an accredited Massage Therapy School.

  • National Certification a plus, as well as membership in American Association of Massage Therapist or another National organization.

  • Must be licensed in the State of Illinois​
