Summary: The purpose of this class within the organization is to operate heavy equipment on job sites, assigned facilities and other designated locations for a department, division or work unit.

This class works under close supervision according to set procedures.


Work Hours: This position will be expected to work a designated schedule established by the Department Head.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Duties: include the following. Other and /or additional duties may be assigned. All assigned duties should be performed in an efficient, effective and safe manner.

Contributes towards the department's mission by continuously striving to meet expectations, strategic goals and objectives.

Operates a broad range of equipment which may include Riverbank Tractors, Right-of-Way Tractors, Vactor Trucks, Backhoe, Excavator, Endloader, Gradall, Blacktop Paver, Roller, Tree Trucks Dump Trucks and/or other equipment.

Collaborates with and assists construction crews when necessary and required.

Loads and unloads equipment, tools, and job materials.



Education / Experience: High School Diploma or GED. Requires one year of equipment operation experience or closely related experience


Certifications / Licenses: Class A or B Commercial Driver's License required. Endorsements preferred, but not required.
