Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Recreational Sports department on the Gainesville campus. This paid student position will operate out of Campus Recreation and Wellness to plan, promote, and implement educational events and activities on the eight dimensions of well-being. A chosen candidate can expect to receive valuable work experience, knowledge, leadership opportunities, public speaking experience, and professional leadership support.
Responsibilities
Peer Health Educators will provide insights and strategies to reach the UNG population, help shape well-being messaging, help develop content for social media accounts, and plan events to support well-being initiatives, including Live Well UNG. Selected candidates will receive Peer Educator specific training and opportunities to complete a Mental Health First Aid Certification.
Required Qualifications
Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
