The Opportunity

DAT is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Beaverton, OR, Denver, CO, or remote.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer that is passionate about building great customer-facing software. You will be working in a full stack TypeScript ecosystem (Node/Angular) to develop code that is reliable, maintainable, and scalable. As part of a highly collaborative team, you will help establish a new generation of microservices supporting the entry point into DAT’s load board software - posting.

In this role you will tackle a variety of stories, from building microservices to creating compelling user experiences on top of the latest web technologies. You will be part of a team that designs, develops, tests, and delivers solutions through our CI/CD environments and deploy solutions to our customers hosted on AWS.

What You’ll Do

Design and develop reliable, scalable, and maintainable software solutionsParticipate in design/code reviewsDevelop expertise in TypeScript, AWS solutions, and REST APIsWrite unit, integration, and functional tests, and guide others in doing the sameCollaborate with product, UX, and analytics to design and deliver great user experiencesWork with team members to improve development processes and practicesDocument software designs and project tasksReview functional requirements and analyze their impact on schedule and software designTranslate business needs and requirements into technical specifications

The Skills and Experience You’ll Bring

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, plus 2+ years’ experience in software development with demonstrated experience working full stack Experience writing TypeScriptExperience using modern server frameworks (ideally Node.js) to build microservices and/or REST APIsExperience developing using containers (Docker/Kubernetes)Experience using web UI frameworks such as React or Angular to build web UI’sExperience using modern cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience with Scrum/Agile SDLCInvested in the professional growth and development of individuals and teamsExperience with client and server unit testingOutstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsAdept at effectively working with professionals from a wide range of disciplines
