Westland Veterinary Hospital has an opportunity for a full-time

Veterinary Assistant  to join our team

We are a full-service veterinary hospital that offers specialty and generalized pet care for dogs, cats, and exotic pets such as birds, rabbits, ferrets, and other pocket pets We offer a wide variety of diagnostic services, and surgical procedures, such as spaying and neutering for dogs, cats, rabbits, and ferrets, vaccinations, microchipping, and routine check-ups.

Location:  7610 N Wayne Rd, Westland, MI 48185

Shift Details: This is a full-time position (30+ hours/week) working Monday-Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm, rotating Saturdays 8:00am - 1:00pm. Must be available to work at least 2 Saturdays a month.

Pay Range:  $16.00 - $19/hour (based on experience)

Skills: dependable, proficient with venipuncture, client communication and anesthetic monitoring is a plus.

Westland Veterinary Hospital is a small, but mighty, 2 doctor practice in Westland, MI. We offer a wide variety of diagnostic services, x-ray examinations, surgical procedures (including CO2 laser), vaccinations, ultrasound, and routine check-ups. As a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital, we currently service dogs and cats.

We have a lot of great in-house lab equipment and we are getting a new Imagyst soon. The Imagyst is the new artificially intelligent cytology reader. It reads ear cytologies, fecals, urines, and fine needle aspirates for you.

We have an inclusive and supportive culture. We try to do quarterly team bonding outside of the clinic that has included in the past; Kayaking, Axe throwing, potlucks and more.
