UDRI invites qualified applicants to apply for our Research Graphics & Media Production Specialist opening

UDRI is seeking a highly qualified, multimedia design specialist to support client research and technology transition activities. Successful candidate will effect technology adoption through effective strategic communications initiatives, including video production, presentation development, 2D and 3D prototype visualizations, animations and marketing material generation. Specifically, a qualified candidate will be able to film, produce and edit video, generate creative 3D models with appropriate materials characteristics, and produce motion graphics and animations. Additional duties include developing concepts which engage the target audience; selecting the most effective presentation media for the desired outcomes; collaborating with internal and contracted customers to establish scope, deliverables and deadlines; and executing plans for instituting lasting cultural and behavioral change in large complex organizations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or Bachelors of Fine Arts degree, with emphasis in: video, animation, digital media, multi media design, graphic design, photography, or a related field.
5 years' practical experience in video/film production, multi media design, animation, photography, or graphic design .
Clear communicator with attention to detail and basic project management skills.
Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

10+ years of directly related video and multi media design experience, as well as a working knowledge of photography and graphic design.
Familiarity with UDRI's U.S. Air Force customers and the U.S. Air Force Digital Transition and Sustainment Technologies missions.
Practical experience with project management and agile tools and techniques, as well as phases of the project lifecycle.
Organized, able to self manage work loads and juggle multiple projects, while also ensuring quality deliverables.
An understanding of how people experience change and organizational change processes.
Demonstrated successful experience working with scientific research, technical subjects and collaborating with research professionals and engineers.
Highly skilled at interpreting technical subjects into effective messages, which can easily be understood by a non-technical audience.
Exceptional verbal communication skills.
Excellent active listening skills.
Strong analytic and critical decision making abilities.
Able to work effectively with all levels in an organization.
Team player and able to work with and through others.
Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
Willing to travel.
