Position Summary:Truly Free is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labor Team Member for our Pick and Pack Team Responsibilities include picking products based on a pick list and boxing customer orders for shipping. Verify information on location labels and customer packing lists to maintain high accuracy. It entails verifying that the correct amounts and types of items were picked and properly packed prior to shipping. It also involves inspecting the goods in order to ensure that the customer receives quality products. (On-site position).
Major Duties and Responsibilities: Key responsibilities:
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Prioritizes SAFETY, then QUALITY, followed by PRODUCTION
- Ensures a safe work environment for self and others at all times.
- Understand and comply with Environmental and Health & Safety policies to ensure that environmental, health and safety are the first priority
- Communicates effectively and timely with staff
- Ensure all work areas are clean, tidy, and organized at all times
- Assists Plant Supervisor and operators as assigned.
- Pick and Pack: Pick and Pack Employees, also called shippers, perform repetitive or assembly line operations to mass-pack products. These employees are expected to meet a high level of accuracy, pace, and quality in keeping with the companys standards.
Meet or exceed standards for Pick and Pack hourly rates
- Fill out required paperwork such as daily Shipping Logs and waste sheets
- Utilize shipping software to print pick lists and labels- according to the direction or guidance of the Supervisor or other leadership personnel.
- Pack orders and prepare them to be shipped, being aware of the overall appearance of the package.
- Inspect outgoing products prior to packing them, to ensure they are not damaged or missing parts
- Always be aware of inventory needs, reporting shortages to the appropriate persons when something is low in stock
- Cycle counting for inventory as directed
- Treat it as you own it Take ownership and responsibility to be successful
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong cognitive skills, including problem-analyzing
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Show dependability and commitment
- Lift and move items up to 50 pounds
- Regularly bend, lift, stretch, and reach both below the waist and above the head
- Have the personal strength and stamina to walk briskly for most of the day throughout the facility
