Summary:

Job Responsibilities: 

1)  CLINICAL PRACTICE
Utilizes the professional code of ethics with patient and family to establish patient and family relationship(s). Adheres to standards of practice, policy and procedures to support clinical decision making. Performs quality diagnostic exams as indicated by QA random, monthly review. Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and optimizes equipment to enhance image quality. Educates patients and families with regard to rationale and expectations during the procedure. Understands rules and norms with cultural differences as it relates to caring for patients with in a defined time frame and procedure. Knowledge of developmental stages for the following age groups: Neonate, Infant/toddler, Children, Adolescent, Adult.

2)  HEALTHCARE EAM RELATIONSHIPS
Effectively builds and nurtures relationships and values others. Seeks assistance from peers to resolve conflicts, practicing negotiation and delegation skills. Observes peers' professional practice to identify potential mentor(s). Participates in staff meetings and/or discussions regarding patient care and/or practice issues. Maintains individual productivity and supports workgroup effectiveness.

3)  PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Assumes responsibility for continued learning to enhance clinical practice. Actively seeks and is receptive to honest feedback from multidisciplinary healthcare team in ways to improve overall quality of care. Maintains safe operation of designated equipment and assists to ensure orderliness of department. Performs applicable volumes to maintain competency: 300 echocardiograms per year, 300 vascular exams per year and 100 stress echocardiograms per year.
