- Identify and evaluate suppliers for specialized/technical equipment, prototypes, and testing services.
- Request quotes and negotiate prices, delivery terms, payment schedules, and warranties.
- Coordinate the purchase of specialized/technical equipment, prototypes, and testing services for product development.
- Ensure prototypes meet technical specifications and functional requirements.
- Oversee the development and timely delivery of prototypes.
- Manage the hiring of laboratories or testing service providers.
- Coordinate test dates, follow up, and report results.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Continuously evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and lead times.
- Manage contracts, NDAs, and purchasing terms.
- Optimize costs.
