Vendor Development/Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities include:
  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance data, addressing any deviations or issues collaboratively.
  • Assess potential new suppliers, ensuring alignment with quality benchmarks.
  • Establish and enforce supplier quality standards in line with company objectives and industry regulations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to address quality issues, employing problem-solving methodologies.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Design teams in supplier selection, ensuring alignment with product specifications.
  • Implement and oversee Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) with critical customers, ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Foster continuous improvement initiatives within the supplier network to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for suppliers on quality standards, processes, and requirements.

What you need to succeed:
  • Quality Engineering background focused on correcting problems on the front end and Validation work.
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Systems, with exposure to IATF or ISO (from Aerospace or Automotive).
  • Good process exposure in quality background, contributing to the development of formal SQ processes.
  • Strong auditing skills to determine supplier capabilities for necessary improvements.
