Thomson Reuters is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual with an information security background to join our Cyber Threat Intelligence team. 
 
The role will include working within the Threat Intelligence team and with partner security teams to collect, analyze, and disseminate actionable intelligence to improve our cyber defense and decrease risk. The Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for developing/maintaining new technical and non-technical sources of information, threat research, threat actor profile development, historical trend link analysis, threat briefings, threat detections, and reporting aligned with stakeholder needs. 
 

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst, you will:

Monitor the cyber threat landscape using a variety of public, private, and internal intelligence sources to identify the most relevant threats and risks to Thomson Reuters.

In partnership with engineering teams, develop methods for collecting new and useful intelligence sources.

Research and analyze criminal and state-sponsored cyber threats to identify attack vectors and attack methods that present risk to the organization. Document analyses in both short- and long-form reporting formats.

Perform technical analysis of cyber threat activity to identify key indicators of compromise (IOC) and attack techniques. Apply industry frameworks like Lockheed Martin's Cyber Kill Chain and/or MITRE's ATT&CK to communicate detection and prevention opportunities with detection engineers.

Author clear, concise reporting for manager and executive audiences in a variety of formats including oral briefings, written reports, and ad-hoc advisory meetings. Use creative presentation methods and tools (charts, images, etc.) to articulate the "so what" to intelligence customers.

Cultivate relationships with other security and business staff to create and improve processes and frameworks that help reduce risk from cyber threats.
 

About You  

You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:

Proficiency / experience in technology and information security, with a strong interest in the Cyber Threat Intelligence space

Strong written and verbal communications skills, research skills, and the ability to tailor communications and reports to various levels within the organization 

Ability to distill technical concepts into a format understandable to non-technical audiences. 

Strong organizational, facilitation, and critical thinking abilities

Must be self-motivated, teamwork oriented, and able to identify creative solutions to challenges
