Job Summary:

As a Junior DevOps Engineer you will participate in theprograms Multicloud DevOps capability spanning AWS cloudenvironments cloud migration efforts and modernization of globallyused applications including the Continuous Integration/ContinuousDelivery (CI/CD) Pipeline. You will play a crucial role inintegrating new and modernized programs into the NGA Mayhem DevOpspipelines and collaborate with team members in Agile softwaredevelopment initiatives.

Key Duties &Responsibilities:
  • Participate inMulticloud DevOps capabilities across AWS cloudenvironments
  • Assist in cloud migration effortsand modernization of globally used applications
  • Integrate new and modernized programs into NGA MayhemDevOps pipelines
  • Monitor and projectapplication volumes using historical data and currentevents
  • Notify management of volume trends andsignificant spikes
  • Monitor website traffic andcommunicate datadriven recommendations
  • Participate in Agile software development initiatives(standup planning Increment planning)
  • Collaborate with team members to assess tickets andensure proper testing and delivery of functionality
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems InformationTechnology Computer Science or a closely relateddiscipline
  • 2 years of prior relevantexperience
  • Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly clearance(preferred) or Top Secret clearance and willingness to sit for a CIPoly
  • Proficiency in AWS/Cloud technologies andOpenShift AWS hosting platforms
  • Experiencewith software development or integration projects inserviceoriented or virtualization environments
  • Understanding of DevOps methodologies andworkflow
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services(S3 Buckets EC2 Reserved Instances etc.)
  • Experience with System Engineering documentation creation(VDDs diagrams etc.)
  • Proficiency in teamcollaboration tools (Jira Confluence RocketChat)
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong organizational skills with the abilityto plan and prioritize work
  • Attention todetail and ability to follow tasks to their logicalconclusion
  • Proactive selfstarter with apositive willing attitude
  • Excellent oral andwritten communication skills
  • Understanding ofcloudbased architectures
  • Familiarity withcrossdomain architectures at various levels (preferred)
  • Experience with automated testing and monitoring(preferred)
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Dockercontainer strategies (preferred)
  • Experiencewith Engineering Review Boards and Change Management(preferred)
