This Quality Engineering summer intern will utilize their experience and talents to provide engineering, quality, and safety support to manufacturing processes. This person will interface with the leaders across the business here in Fairfield CA.
What You Will Do:
· Supports site audits, control plans, process control methods, dimensional and physical inspections, CMM, manual measuring equipment, etc.
· Conducts research to evaluate potential solutions related to changes in equipment design, procedures, or training to ensure the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow.
· Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification of CNC manufacturing, hardware assembly, testing processes, liquid and vacuum brazing processes.
· Plans the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routings.
· Establishes and implements quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs.
· Reviews and provides analytical input to documents, such as proposals or other operational procedures, to support studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
What You Will Learn:
Supporting AS9100 Quality Inspection ComplianceBasic Qualifications:
· Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
· U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
