The Shuttle Driver is an important position at Solvera Health. As the individual providing transportation to and from the clinic, The Shuttle Driver is often the first point of contact for patients, and must reflect the mission, vision, and values of Solvera Health, consistently practices the “hospitality in healthcare” philosophy, and adheres to high standards of customer care.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Operates under the supervision of the Practice Manager and Chief Executive Officer; is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of Solvera patients
  • May require transport of patients that are ambulatory challenged and wheelchair-bound
  • Delivery of durable medical equipment, pharmacy and any other transportation as deemed necessary.
  • Follows all state and local rules and regulations regarding vehicle and traffic safety.
  • Responsible for overall cleanliness and safety of the vehicle assigned on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for communicating any safety issue(s) to the CEO.
  • Complies with all organizational policies and procedures, and acts according to ethical business standards to complete assigned tasks
  • Maintains privacy and confidentiality of all protected health information at all times in accordance with HIPAA regulations

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Required License/Certification: IL Driver’s License, BLS
  • Preferred License: Class B CDL with P Endorsement
  • One year experience working with and/or transporting the frail and elderly.
  • Accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.


Preferred:

  • Experience as Bus driver for schools or at risk populations or other transportation related service.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
