-Graduate of an ultrasonography program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education
Programs (CAAHEP), required, or
-Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in one or more of the three disciplines
of the profession, or registry eligible, required.If registry eligible, must obtain a registry in one of the three disciplines
within the first year of employment, required
-Must be willing to obtain an additional registry each subsequent year until three registries are acquired, required
-One year experience in ultrasound, preferred
-Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical and technical personnel
-Knowledge of electrical and radiation hazards required
-Capable of lifting and positioning patients and equipment
-Position requires ability to walk frequently; stand and sit for prolonged periods, see objects closely; and hear
normal sounds with background noises
-Certified in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation required
