Reconstruction Technician

Responsibilities:
- Execute all aspects of property reconstruction following fire, water, storm, or other disaster-related damage.
- Perform demolition, framing, drywall installation, painting, flooring installation, and finishing work to restore properties to their pre-loss condition.
- Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and other team members to understand project scope, timelines, and priorities.
- Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and precise execution of reconstruction work.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards throughout the reconstruction process.
- Operate and maintain a variety of construction tools, equipment, and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with subcontractors and vendors involved in the reconstruction process.
- Adhere to project schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Monitor and track project progress, documenting work performed, materials used, and any changes or challenges encountered.
- Identify and report any issues or concerns that may impact the quality or progress of the reconstruction work.
- Uphold high-quality standards and attention to detail to deliver exceptional results to clients.
- Ensure a clean and organized work area, maintaining the proper storage and handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing client questions, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Continuously update and expand technical knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
- May assist in estimating and bidding on reconstruction projects as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or technical training in construction or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in construction, reconstruction, or restoration work.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Proficient in performing various construction tasks, such as demolition, framing, drywall installation, painting, and flooring.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
