Rogers Group is currently seeking candidates to fill a MOBILE MAINTENANCE/MILLWRIGHT CREW LEAD  position based out of our Gordonsville shop that will typically serve nearby areas within a ±3 hour window. Occasionally, extended travel to sites outside of Tennessee will be required. This role assists the Shop Manager in coordinating any required demolition, installation, fabrication (in-house/site work), and/or repair projects.

The successful candidate for this position will have prior experience in a leadership role demonstrating the ability to provide guidance, direction, and work planning. This role will require ability to exhibit high regard for safety excellence thru self-discipline and crew expectations. Candidate must have a strong background of experience in prior in welding, fabrication, and fixed plant repair work along with a strong commitment to safety excellence. Experience or background in millwright type work – metal fabrication, cutting, machinery repair, and any experience in steel erection, industrial equipment installation, crane operations/rigging, and site work (grading/concrete) – is highly preferred. Hours of operation require ability to be flexible and will require some night and weekend work as well. Occasional extended travel/stays will be required; PCard will be issued for travel expenses (meals and lodging). Overtime is required as needed.

CDL license required , required to operate CDL trucks and equipment while performing maintenance duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

Uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, direction, and work planning for plant maintenance, fabrication, and heavy repair projects. Strong management, organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills, and the ability to visualize structural components and assemblies. CDL license required. Ensuring safety guidelines are understood and followed. Ability to coordinate, plan, and direct daily activities and project scopes. Previous mining/quarry/maintenance experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed. Experience working with crushers, conveyors and screens preferred. Experience in steel erection/destruction - fabricating, cutting, fitting, and welding is required. Ability to read/follow prints. Experience with Crane operations and rigging highly preferred. Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties independently, with minimum supervision while demonstrating sound judgement. Must be flexible on working hours and locations with the ability to adapt to different work environments. Must be flexible to occasionally travel outside state to other sites for extended stays (3-4 week jobs) Must have a valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record.
