Coder/Abstractor III

Pay Range: $34.13 - $37.81 per hour, based on experience.

This is a remote position. 

Accurately codes and abstracts outpatient medical records utilizing ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding systems. Assigns modifiers when appropriate.

Education/Training: High School Diploma. Completion of a coding program. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Experience: Minimum of three years Acute Care hospital coding experience. Anatomy and Physiology and Pathophysiology proficient. ICD-10 Certified. Knowledge of PPS methodologies for inpatient and/or outpatient encounters. Good computer skills, including knowledge of Epic/3M coding software. Inpatient and/or outpatient coding guidelines proficient. Must be able to maintain a minimum 95% coding accuracy . Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Licensure, Registration or Certification: Maintains CCS credential.
