Position Purpose

Support NEC’s Marketing Department by creating original content for social media channels like; Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Linkedin, You Tube and others. Create fun and engaging content by attending events, walking around campus, and participating in NEC activities like games and social events, capturing good quality photos and videos. Other duties include creating an events calendar (to plan which events to attend) and scheduling photo and video shoots. Joining our social media team will provide you with great experience which can be applied to future social media, marketing, and communications jobs. Your earned transferable skills will include the ability to work on a team, personal confidence growth, interpersonal skills and more. We have a fun and professional work environment Letters of Recommendation may be provided upon request Essential Duties Summary Meet with the social media team bi-weekly to discuss upcoming events to cover and content to gather. Send photos and videos to Shara DiGrazia-Almedia in a timely manner. Be creative and outgoing; willing to ask people for their permission to take pictures and/or videos of them. Demonstrate professionalism while working with faculty, staff, and students.Project examples: “In the Life” of a student posts, stories and reels (walking around campus going to the café’, in class, graduation, etc.) Pat’s Peak Takeover, Athletics games, campus shots during each season, Fall Festival, visit Days, Move-In days and more. Required Qualifications Keen interest in social media.Be able to work as a team and work with each other’s schedules to cover events.Must be able to maintain a schedule, attend events as planned, and deliver content in a timely fashion.Ability to make decisions independently as well as collaboratively.Strong communication skills both oral and written.Trustworthy and dependable.Willing to be flexible.
Social media experience preferred, but not required. Training and support will be provided.Experience with taking good photos and videos on a good quality phone is preferred, but not required.Proficient with emailing and texting files. Preferred Qualifications The following courses and majors or minors preferred but not required; Photography, Marketing and Communications, PR, and Business Administration.
