Job Description

  • Provide general legal services at an exciting global company with U.S. offices located in New Jersey, Maryland, Texas, Florida, and Oregon and manufacturing facilities in a number of other locations.
  • Provide legal review, advice, and support on a broad range of legal matters including strategic transactions, commercial contracting, licensing, quality and operations, and general corporate matters across the Pharma Biotech & Nutrition segment and various functions, including procurement,
  • Work closely with all business functions and senior management. Actively assist company in achieving business objectives.
  • Demonstrate strategic value and competence in applying legal skills to daily corporate, business, compliance and other matters.
  • Position would have significant responsibility for a diverse range of commercial, legal, and compliance matters, including high profile, complex matters.
  • Responsible for assuring the availability, continuity and quality of competent, timely and cost efficient legal services. This position has an important role in providing legal advice in areas of significant company-wide impact.
  • Provide legal review, advice, and support on a broad range of legal matters including quality, regulatory, operations, strategic transactions, contracting, licensing, transactional, and general corporate matters across multiple business units.
  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel to support contractual and commercial projects for ***’s business operations and initiatives.
  • Work closely with all business functions and senior management. Actively assist company in achieving business objectives.
  • Supervise outside counsel and related budgets, as needed.
  • Identify areas of company risk and make proposals for and lead implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours, as needed. The likelihood of travel for this temporary role is extremely low
  • Admission and membership in good standing to the bar of at least one state and maintenance of New Jersey in-house counsel license (if required).
