This team includes neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, nutritionists, developmental specialists, pharmacists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, a neonatal transportation team, and designated neonatal respiratory therapists. The organizational collaborative efforts of Magee and UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh allow Magee’s patients to be supported by UPMC Children's medical team. This partnership enables patients requiring surgical intervention or extensive consultation to be transported to Children's for further management. As a regional referral center for high-risk maternal and fetal care, Magee provides physicians and hospitals across the tri-state area with access to the highest level of resources, resulting in the best possible care for patients.
