Responsibilities

BASIC FUNCTION:

Reviews daily production utilizing computer manufacturing software and determines associate work assignments. Wear the required PPE and follow all the appropriate JHA’s. Operator cleans up/prepares blocks before cutting. Operator records production run information.. The foam type, run number and dimensions of the block of foam are verified to conform to the specs. Operator measures length, width, gauge and thickness and enters info into template and spreadsheet provided by supervisor. If order specifies, Looper crew convolutes and compresses material. Generate and apply roll labels. Location is given to all rolls that have been produced and stored. Operators are required to wear proper PPE when operating equipment. Required to clean up their workstations on a daily basis and maintain it organized Required to do inventory and bin to bins.

Other Duties:

Responsible for departmental safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency. Read and follow all Standard Operating Procedures and work orders. Maintain accurate serial number log as required. Utilize computer manufacturing software to report daily production, retrieve Bill of Material (BOM) and check inventory levels for production. Responsible for coordinating with engineering and quality on pilot runs, BOM audits, pilot completion paperwork and training records. Communicate with Engineering on discrepancies or questions. Participates in routine departmental meetings as needed. Take monthly cycle counts and inventory as needed. All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
