Primary Talent Partners has an opening for an entry-level chemist with our large life science client in Westborough, MA. This is a full-time W2 contract with an initial duration of 6 months and potential for extension or conversion.
Pay Range: $24/hr to $29/hr, no Benefits or PTO Included
Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled chemist to join our chemistry team. You will be joining a team that develop advanced materials sets for life science applications. This requires problem solving skills, teamwork, time management, and a commitment to excellence in performing hands-on chemistry. This is a wet lab operation so skill using lab equipment and materials along with exceptional attention to detail to meet our quality standards is expected.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive continual improvement of Membrane products through process development and design changes resulting in high performance, process robustness and cost effectiveness.
  • Daily management of technology development with respect to quality and process characterization, on time delivery, inventory, and productivity.
  • Drive consistent process controls and work with cross-functional team for technology transfer to manufacturing.
  • Problem identification, root cause analysis, and countermeasure development, verification and implementation.
  • Disposition of non-conforming material. Generate and submit ECOs for manufacturing related changes.
  • Be a back-up for other R&D associates in the development of new technologies.
Required Skills:
  • BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to document and communicate technical details clearly.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams as well as independently.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new projects and challenges.
  • Creative thinker with excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to multi-task. Willing to work overtime as needed.
Desirable:
  • Experience with polymer chemistry, organic chemistry and analytical chemistry.
  • Experience with design of experiment (DoE)
  • Hands-on experience working in a R&D and/or manufacturing environment.
