Penn's School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) is world-renowned for exceptional faculty, innovative research, and top-tier degree programs. SAS Computing is seeking an Audio Visual B Technicianto assist our computing team in providing excellent support to our faculty, staff, and students.
Job Responsibilities
The Audio Visual B Technician position works under the direct supervision of the Local Support Provider(s) in its assigned areas.
Primary responsibilities include:
Responding to classroom support calls, troubleshooting problems, and assisting instructors in learning to use installed technology.
Preparing computers (Mac and PC) for deployment, according to SAS Computing processes, including provisioning/imaging machines, installing software, and delivering and setting up the machines on-site.
Preparing decommissioned gear for secure, responsible disposable. This includes physically collecting the items, labeling and inventorying them, and maintaining a neat and professional work environment.
Assisting LSPs in providing basic technical assistance to clients, in-person and via phone, Zoom, and a ticketing system.
Participating in computing projects as needed, under the direction of the Local Support Provider.
Qualifications
Required:
High School Grad/GE Degree, Other, and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Excellent customer service skills
Good written/verbal communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to troubleshoot technical problems
Ability to document work clearly and thoroughly
Experience with the following is preferred:
Mac and Windows operating systems
Ticketing systems
A/V equipment
Mobile devices, including phones and tablets

$17.98 - $21.00 Hourly RateSalary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
