We have a large construction company looking for a Safety Professional in Ann Arbor, MI Job Summary:As Construction Safety Professionals, we prioritize the implementation of best practices, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, and cultivating a culture of safety enhancement on targeted construction projects.
  • Rate of Pay: $110,000/year.
  • Shift: Day Shift - 5/10s could shift to 6/10's.
  • Location: Ann Arbor, MI.

 Responsibilities:
  • Mentor, educate, and train staff on safety protocols.
  • Foster a positive safety culture within the team.
  • Attend safety meetings as required, at varying frequencies.
  • Conduct on-site observations and recommend safety work practices.
  • Facilitate pre-task planning, audits, job safety analyses (JSAs), and permit processes.
  • Conduct site-specific orientations, training classes, and toolbox talks.
  • Generate reports as needed by the job site.
 Requirements and Experience:
  • Minimum of 7 years of direct construction safety oversight experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Construction Safety Standards.
  • Demonstrated expertise in diverse construction and safety practices.
  • Preferably experienced in ground-up construction safety oversight.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective leadership and mentorship abilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with teams across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications.
 Education and Credentials:
  • Minimum requirement of CHST Certification. ASP or CSP Certification preferred.
  • Degree in a safety-related field or equivalent experience preferred.
