We are looking for an experienced Lead Teacher who wants to grow into the Good Shepherd Children's Center Director role

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have at least 2 years of teaching experience in a licensed group center.
  • Must be at least a Level 10 or above on the WI Registry.
  • Previous Assistant Director experience preferred, but wiling to train the right person.

Description of Duties:

  • Plan and implement daily, weekly and monthly lesson plans.
  • Give directions to assistant teacher who may be working with you in a classroom.
  • Supervise, know the names, whereabouts, and number of children assigned to your care at all times. Does not allow children out of licensed program area without adult supervision as per center policy and DCF 251.
  • Intervenes when children are engaging in behaviors which could harm themselves, property, or other using positive guidance techniques.
  • Greets families and children upon their arrival at the center.
  • Knows the Center policies and procedure to follow including during emergency situation.
  • Remain flexible in the ability and skills needed to work with any age group when staffing requires that teachers work in a classroom other than their regularly assigned room.
  • Schedule and supervise staff.
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned by the current Interim Director.
  • Assist in answering the telephone.
  • Assist Team Leads as needed.
  • Maintain Good Shepherd Services core values.
