Job Summary
Performs routine and complex Neurodiagnostic studies, according to ABRET Laboratory standards. Participates in cross-training to achieve competency in specialized Neurodiagnostic procedures. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the age, developmental stage, and special needs of the patients served.
Essential Functions
Work occurs in various patient-care areas including exam rooms, patient rooms, intensive care units, and operating rooms. It requires periods of standing, sitting, walking, lifting, bending, and moving heavy equipment to remote areas of the facility. Technologists must be able to work around other medical equipment and lift a minimum of 10 pounds shoulder high. Technologist must speak English in simple, understandable terms and have an intact sense of sight and hearing. Departments may require metro-wide after-hours call rotation.
