Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must demonstrate knowledge of all Respiratory Care equipment in terms of applications, limitations, troubleshooting, and alternative courses of action

  • Must possess a broad scope of expertise in cardiopulmonary and respiratory care treatment of disease

  • Determine respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians

  • Administer inhalants, operating mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators

  • Complete discharge planning by consulting with medical staff members

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience as a Respiratory Therapist

  • Must possess a current valid Ohio license/certificate as a Respiratory Therapist

  • Currently active and registered with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

  • Current BLS Certification Required
