Position Summary Job Summary Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is hiring one student who will serve as a helper in CAPS outreach planning and implementation, a coordinator for social media and an educator to the campus community regarding CAPS services and support. This position is defined as a non-exempt position under FLSA regulations.

Specific Responsibilities · Help, schedule, plan and execute outreach events across campus.· Deliver presentations and information to the SU community. · Know the material for each topic, manage time effectively to be prompt to events, and be respectful of others time· Coordinate social media presence for Counseling and Psychological Services· Liaison with mental health related, registered, student organizations on campus

Learning Objectives CAPS Peer educator will learn how to connect students with CAPS, represent CAPS at outreach events, help communicate CAPS messaging through social media and deliver presentations to the campus community. Required Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, Abilities · Some knowledge in social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)· Outlook, Teams and SU Presence· Confidentiality with sensitive, personal topics· Effective educational communication with small groups

Education Sophomore, Junior, Senior. All Majors. Experience Experienced in designing modern graphics for social media, perhaps Canva.

Location On SU Campus

Additional Requirements This position is paid $8.50 per hour, with an estimate of 10 hours weekly.
