NURSE EXTERN

Promotes safe and effective patient care. Communicates and interacts effectively with patients and families, physicians, peers, and other health team members to maximize successful patient outcomes. Assures clinical equipment is in working order and safe for use both for the patient and the staff. Assures documentation in the medical record is accurate and complete Adminsters injections as ordered and directed under supervision of Nursing staff Relays messages and information to patients the hospital staff and other physician offices Completes Special projects as designated. Demonstrates appropriate oral communication skills with office staff regarding patient needs. Demonstrates appropriate written Communication skills. Maintains confidentiality of all hospital records, staff and patient activities verbally, written and via the computer. Communicates in a positive manner. Participates in Staff development and education
