As a Timber & Truss Sales Rep, you will offer wood based building products to general contractors and builders. The position is a base pay + unlimited commission. Desire 3+ years experience in selling within the construction industry. Experience in timber, lumber and/or trusses is preferred. Must be able to read and understand design documents and blueprints. 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for customers, providing expert guidance on our product lines and services.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through meticulous attention to detail and prompt order fulfillment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers through proactive prospecting, account development, quoting, and follow-up.
  • Source special order items as needed for our contractors.
  • Visit customer sites to review specifications for site preparation and other building requirements.
  • Collaborate with construction and facilities managers to interpret blueprints and prepare building specifications.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction material sales is essential; familiarity with heavy timber and/or trusses is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Knowledge of AutoCAD helpful. 
  • Strong organizational skills with a goal-driven attitude to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work within a team-based environment.
