Position Summary

: The Supplier Quality Assurance Leader develops, coordinates, and leads supplier development and qualification. The SQA Leader will ensure the supply chain provides long term best in class performance in quality, delivery, cost, and service.

Responsibilities:
• Leads the Supplier Quality Assurance under his/her responsibility
• Train, coach and support the SQA team on Faurecia Group Methodologies
• Monitor KPI of Supplier Performance at division level (PPM, S/R, Red List, etc.)
• Prepare a Quality Plan with SQD and SQA teams aiming to improve supplier’s performance
• Share priority of actions to be conducted with ASQ and SQA teams
• Ensure the implementation and progress of the action plan
• Identifies and assess’ supply chain risks and works on contingency plans with suppliers
• Establish the Division Red List, according to BG guidelines, of most disrupting suppliers and engage a breakthrough quality plan
• Follow-up and closure of S/R (Safety & Regulation), quality, and logistic claims
• Support on request the implementation of cost reduction or VAVE target directed by the purchasing team 
• Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction
• Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards and adherence to:

o Faurecia Group Quality Policy
• All other duties as assigned by the company

Position Specifications
Authorities:
• The SQA Leader may conduct quality audits on new or existing vendors
• Review supplier audits conducted by SQA team
• Approve Supplier Auditor qualifications for SQA team
• Reporting to upper management/leadership on supplied product issues. Escalation must be reported immediately upon observance of S&R non-compliance
• Has the authorization to approve purchases with corporate credit card
 

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Knowledge / Skills:
• Knowledge of automotive quality standards and methods (ISO-, IATF-, VDA 6.3, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, etc.)
• Knowledge of:
• OEM specific quality requirements
• Company’s products and technologies
• Faurecia Management System and Quality Basics
• Advanced skills in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Capability to build and manage network
• Best practice sharing and improvement mindset
• Project Management Methodology 
• Production System efficiency knowledge 
• Process and Product knowledge
• Results oriented with strong written and oral communications skills
• Understand the group functional organization 
• Proficient level of English, second language welcome (Spanish, French or German)

Education / Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is desired. If the candidate has less than a Bachelors’ degree, the minimum proven experience in the Automotive industry should be 3-6 years 
• 6 years of proven Quality function experience in the Automotive industry. For newcomers, a mentor should be nominated
• Experience with various Quality system methodologies: 8D, 3 Legs and 5 Why´s, LEAN manufacturing, Pareto analysis and statistical studies
• Certified in Automotive requirements (ISO / IATF , VDA, etc.) preferred
• Certified in all AIAG/VDA Core Tools (PPAP, MSA, FMEA, APQP, SPC) preferred 
• Experienced with OEM customer specific requirements / standards
