Patient Account Representative.

Experience in Medicare/Medicaid and Secondary Payor billing required. Ability to review and submit compliant claims to insurance and follow up on same. Analyze remittance, explanation of benefits to determine if insurance payments are according to the payer/hospital contract and determine patient responsibility. Submit adjustment claims, submit appeals for underpayment and/or denials. At least two years training in the business office field preferred.  Long Term Care and/or Critical Access Hospital billing experience preferred.

Qualified candidate will bill for services such as Adult Daycare, Home Health and Transportation services incurred for residents of our Long Term Care Facility/Nursing Home. Billing to include Medicare/Medicaid and Secondary insurances. Candidate should be able to work independently, take initiative and have detail to attentiveness as well as respond to inquiries in a timely manner. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills required. Ability to independently take initiative and exercise good judgment in decision-making matters. Individual must be self-motivated and willing to self- direct. Ability to empathize and establish positive rapport with customers recognizing the importance of maintaining a positive customer service relationship with internal customers, external customers, patients, residents, family members, insurance providers, etc. High school Level of knowledge required.
