We are looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our medical practice full time or part time in Miramar, FL. We are looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant, who enjoys working with patients and collaborating with colleagues to provide top quality patient care in our integrated physical medicine practice. We have a diverse staff of a variety of health professionals, and we need a PTA to provide excellent, friendly patient care and assistance. Essential duties and responsibilities for the PTAinclude promoting optimal patient health by providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist. Must maintain a positive attitude and contribute towards a quality work environment.

Duties: Maintain back-office inventory and notify management when it’s time to re-order supplies. Ensure a consistent flow of patients. Always maintain the back office neat and clean. Assist with cleaning/prepping all tables/chairs after every patient, pick up laundry, and remove garbage Maintain/fill/clean hydrocollator. Contributes to physical therapist's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physical therapy directives. Assesses patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying therapy histories. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities; and in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses. Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens; giving normal growth and development information; promoting wellness and health maintenance. Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans. Maintains safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Requirements:
