Gastroenterology Hospitalist – UNC Rex – Raleigh, NC
UNC REX Digestive Healthcare has been providing exceptionally high-quality gastroenterology care to patients in the Raleigh area for more than 50 years. It is one of the most advanced gastroenterology practices in Raleigh and throughout the Wake County area.
UNC REX Digestive is seeking GI Hospitalists to join their team.
· General GI (no EUS/ERCP)
· Work life balance with scheduled time off, no clinic responsibilities
· Affiliated cancer center and high-quality support with onsite pathology, surgery, radiology and full time
admitting general medicine admitting service
· Consultation only
· Full time APP coverage to perform all consultations and daily follow up and procedure scheduling.
· Physicians to supervise APPs and perform procedures in the endoscopy area
· Endoscopy Suites – 5
· Total Procedures – 8-12 daily

Rex Healthcare has multiple facilities located in Apex, Cary, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Wakefield, and Raleigh. Rex Hospital is a 660-bed community-based hospital.
About the Community
Raleigh, Wake County, is the capital of the state of North Carolina. It is the second largest city in the state slightly behind Charlotte and the 4th fastest growing city nationwide. The current 2020 population of Raleigh is 1,444,000, a 4.18% increase from 2019. Raleigh is centrally located to the mountains or beach within a couple of hours and hosts all 4 seasons. Raleigh/Wake County is also a mecca for those seeking higher education.
